How to Collimate a Newtonian Telescope │ astrobiscuit tutorial

This is a guide to Collimating Newtonian Telescopes in the daytime using a collimation cap, a Cheshire eyepiece and a laser collimator (I also run through collimating the laser collimator!). I personally use a collimation cap followed by a collimated laser collimator for my daytime collimation. This basic tutorial is all you need to get great collimation of your newtonian or dobsonian telescope...

Enjoyable video as ever and a very solid choice of scopes. I'd argue that the 8" Schmidt Cassegrain was as transformational to amateur astronomy as the Dob. Before they came along, our choices for over 4" of aperture were restricted to unaffordable refractors--Unitron or Japanese scopes--or newtonian on massive EQ mounts. Thanks to Celestron and Meade!

The best thing we could do with the telescope technology nowadays would be to send people back to the Moon and get every earthflatter a telescope and show them live.

Isn’t it weird that you get the exact same focus and level of details on the moon, as the next guy with a just a Nikon p1000? You can just zoom in more but it won’t get more crisp.

Hey Brothers! Im planning to buy a first telescope. Is this winner - celstron 60mm better than skywatcher heritage 150p dob? I thought about heritage because its just perfect size for me. 8" Dob is too big... i have really not too much place in my flat. I live in a Village in germany, but its full of light. I thought about heritage cause its way easier to transport and ill be able to take it for the trips abroad etc. Can u compare these two? Or do u maybe have some other propositions? Cheers ❤😊
